ABOUT ME

Ava Connell is a singer-songwriter from Marietta, Georgia who writes the kind of songs that make people feel like someone finally said the thing out loud. Her sound is rooted in country but pulled toward something rawer and more honest, music that is warm enough to feel familiar and specific enough to stay with you. She began performing at 14 at Eddie’s Attic in Atlanta and has spent the years since building her career with over 100 shows annually across the South and beyond, earning audiences one room at a time.

She began writing at 13, and by 17 she was making consistent inroads in Nashville, developing a reputation as a live act who commands attention without demanding it. She has opened for Pam Tillis, Lainey Wilson, and Morgan Myles, appeared on main stages at national festivals, and earned recognition as a 2024 Female Artist of the Year finalist at the Georgia Country Awards. Her win at the Lake Martin Under 20 Songwriter’s Competition brought her the opportunity to share a stage with veteran songwriter Jeffrey Steele.

Her single “Get You Back,” written by Lainey Wilson, Faren Rachels, and Tom O’Connor, has generated radio airplay and introduced her sound to a wider audience. Her debut EP, produced by Josh Serrato, is out now and continuing to expand that audience.

Her songwriting is a core strength, exploring themes of resilience, identity, and emotional complexity. Throughout her career, Ava has drawn comparisons to early Avril Lavigne and a modern day Cranberries, reflecting her blend of melodic grit and raw vocal power. Her performances combine authenticity with professionalism, making her a dependable and engaging artist on any stage.

Ava is based between Los Angeles and Nashville. She writes her own material, plays her own shows, and makes music for the people who need it most. The ones driving alone at night with something they can’t quite put into words. She puts it into words for them.
